An Austrian company active in the field of monitoring and cleaning water network systems has developed a pipe(line) purification and regeneration system which operates by means of cooled oil-free breathing air. Different materials and deposits can be removed. The (so-called) air jetting need no chemicals, is applicable everywhere and cost effective. The company seeks partners for application, adaption if necessary and further development. 
Description:   An Austrian company which provides services and products for water and waste water for industry and environmental engineering has developed an air-water flushing system for the purification and regeneration of wells and pipelines. The purification operates with cooled oil-free breathing air. Removable are e.g. iron, manganese, humus, sludge, send, different deposits. (Picture 1)There are different types of the air jetting.* Air-Jetting Standard up to 300 bar for well pipes. Highly compressed air is released at short intervals . Air-hydraulic blasts produce cavitation effects. Deep penetration into the filter gravel is thereby possible. Gravel can be loosened by pressure load and relief. Simultaneous purification of pipe and gravel is done (up to 300 bar). * Air-Jetting Soft for 2 to 50 bar for PVC, concrete- and clay pipes. A special valve system is used and controlled finely metered air-pressure pulses are released. No damages on filter-pipes can be ensured. * Air-Water Jetting for non-aquiferous pipes. Regeneration is done by means of an air-water mixture. The system can peel off all deposits and soiling from the pipe walls, the filter line and the gravel by turbulence and cavitation effects. Flow velocities can be up to 25m/s. There is a further purification method available based on a brushing process. * Sand removal for the discharge of deposits and soiling. The system works with the mammoth pump principle. A special valve system is introduced into the well. Air-water mixture with low density is used. Through high flow velocity up to 25m/s the solids are flushed out through the riser. An underwater video inspection camera is used for a condition assessment and documentation before and after purification. Regular video inspections on a recorded and standardized basis are essential for a high level of quality assurance as well as in case of damage assessment.
