Active exhaust silencer for internal combustion engine (Ref: 10 BE 0427 3H24)
A Flemish University (Belgium) has developed an active exhaust silencer for internal combustion engines.
Compared to a passive exhaust system, the active silencer reduces noise up to 13 dB, requires less space and consumes
less energy. The research group is looking for technical collaboration to further industrial development of the silencer.
In conjunction, a cold engine test rig as well as a design and modeling tool are offered for new silencer co-development projects.

High-performance insulation solutions for low temperature applications (10 BE 0427 3H2K)
A Flemish SME (BE) offers a range of microporous insulation solutions, exhibiting an exceptionally low thermal conductivity from
temperatures of 70 °C down to cryogenic temperatures.Superior long term performance at low temperatures and minimum space
requirements constitute the key advantages of vacuum insulation panels containing microporous cores. The technology is offered to
application co-development for a wide range of markets (cold storage, household appliances, building applications a.o.)

Reducing vehicle development time by fast and accurate tire dynamic behavior testing technologies (10 BE 0427 3H2G)
A Flemish university has developed a new test methodology for characterizing the dynamic behaviour of tires. Accuracy and
efficiency of the approach lead to shorter vehicle development time and a better noise, vibration and durability
performance. Reliable prediction of the tire's dynamic behavior is required to assess and
optimize vehicle performance. The research group is looking for automotive partners to
industrially benchmark the technology in vehicle development and optimization process.

Powerful engineering tool for accurate noise and vibration prediction in a large frecquency range (10 BE 0427 3H2E)
A Flemish university has developed a computationally very efficient engineering tool
for the prediction and analysis of the noise and vibration performance of mechanical products.
The method combines small numerical models with high accuracy and hence is more efficient
and faster at low frequencies, while at higher frequencies it largely overcomes the typical
constraints of conventional finite element methods. The research group is looking to
benchmark the method on real-life industrial cases

Sensorless vector control for Permanent Magnet (PM) machines
A Flemish research institute developed a sensorless vector control scheme for Permanent Magnet (PM) machines.
The technique can be used from standstill up to and above nominal speed, and shows several advantages over
the existing state-of-the-art. This allows for a convenient replacement of classic AC drives by small,
fast and efficient PM machines in demanding applications. The research institute is looking for industrial partners
interested in licensing or (joint) further development.

Sensorless rotor position estimation for Switched Reluctance Machines (SRM)
A Flemish research institute developed a sensorless rotor position estimation technique for Switched Reluctance Machines (SRMs).
The technique can be used from standstill up to and above nominal speed, and shows several advantages over
the existing state-of-the-art. This allows for the replacement of classic AC drives by cheap and robust
SRMs in many applications. The research institute is looking for industrial partners interested in licensing or (joint)
further development.

New applications for PVC and PU coated textiles
A Flemish SME is looking for industrial partners to jointly develop new technological applications
for PVC and PU coated textiles. The company is one of the leading transfer coating companies in Europe and,
produces PVC and PU coated textiles up to a width of 220 cm. Advantages of the technology are the ability to
produce soft, elastic and flexible articles and the possibility of low coating weights.
